  • Expression of Interest are invited for Development of Context-Relevant and Age-Appropriate Early Childhood Education (Ece) Readers Using Opensource Stories and Support the Moe-S Accessible Digital Library Program. . Objective of the Consultancy 3.1 The objective of the Assignment The objective of this assignment is to improve the quality of teaching and learning materials by increasing the number of age-appropriate ECE books in the classroom. Specifically, the aim of the assignment is to adapt and digitize context-relevant age-appropriate ECE readers that are aligned to the ECD National Curriculum. These readers will be a) printed, distributed and used by ECE students in the LLF project targeted counties; and b) included in an accessible digital library on a free-to-distribute reading app and on the MoE website. 4. Scope of Services The firm will search, download, compile and contextualize age-appropriate opensource stories into at least twenty-five (25) separate ECE readers. Digital copies (soft versions) of the readers will be delivered to the Ministry of Education in Monrovia in print-ready resolution and in an accessible digital format (including English audio narration and sign language translation) for a reading app. Details of Assignment The hired firm will then carry out the following tasks: 1. The firm is hired to search the global digital libraries1 for relevant ECE books and adapt at least 25 open-source stories which will be printed for classroom libraries, available for download on the website of the MOE, distributed on a free-to-use app (paid for by the MOE for 2 years) and as content for the MOE talking pen project. 2. The firm will contextualise the materials to ensure the stories are levelled2; relevant to Liberia children; reinforce the literacy skills in the National Curriculum; are inclusive of women, girls and children with disabilities;
